Jason wins also in Lillehammer (NOR)

Jason Lamy Chappuis, already leading after the jumping, could win his second World Cup this winter which makes it two out of three now for him. He won after a hard race in front of the Norvegian Petter Tande and the three Germans Eric Frenzel, Tino Edelmann and Björn Kircheisen.
With his victory today, Lamy Chappuis could regain the yellow bib of the leader of the overall World Cup from Hannu Manninen (FIN) who left the World Cup until the competitions in Oberhof (GER) beginning of the new year.

I am very happy! It was a very nice victory but also one which was hard to achieve...the finish-sprint was really hard! It's great to have the yellow bib back! Now I hope it will stay a bit longer with me this time!" tells Jason after his race.

After his jumo of 139m, Jason had already won the jumping part of the competition. However, the following 10km of cross country skiing weren't a piece of cake. The time fifferences between the athletes weren't really big, therefore it was almost a mass start at the beginnning of the race. Jason found himself soon caught by the Norvegian Petter Tande, the Germans Tino Eldemann and Eric Frenzel as well as by the Austrian Wilfried Denifl. The five of them worked hard to not let the other come too close, and they won. However, for the last 100m, they were only four: Lamy Chappuis, Edelmann, Frenzel and Tande.

With a fabulous sprint, the man from Bois d'Amont won the finish-sprint with just some centimetres in front of a very strond Petter Tande (+0.1s)

The other French: Sébastien Lacroix, who started the race only on 42nd position, had also a great race and could gain as many as 20 places when finished 22nd (+1:30.5min)! This time, it was the unfortunate Francois Braud, who, after some problems during the race, had to take the unpleasant 31st place (1:54.3min) and could therefore not mark any points for the overall World Cup. Behin him we find Maxime Laheurte on the 36th place (2:12.5min) and finally Jonathan Félisaz, who was in a tremendous shape during this year's Summer Grand Prix, on the 46th place, 3:02.1min behind his team mate Jason.
